What is APEDA Registration?

APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) registration gives exporters an RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) required to export scheduled agri products — fruits, vegetables, processed foods, dairy, poultry, cereals and more.

Why is it required?

  • Exporting scheduled products without APEDA RCMC is not permitted.
  • Registered exporters get access to APEDA's financial assistance schemes, training and trade-fair participation.
  • Required for availing export incentives on agri products.

Documents required

  • IEC copy
  • PAN of the entity
  • Bank certificate in prescribed format
  • Certificate of Incorporation / Partnership Deed
  • Details of scheduled products handled

Frequently asked questions

Is APEDA registration one-time?

The RCMC is issued once and remains valid for 5 years.

I export bananas / spices — do I need APEDA?

Bananas and most fresh produce fall under APEDA; spices are under the Spices Board. Many exporters need both — we handle the combination.
